The Poison Dart Frog, an amphibian is about 2.5 cm in size and has a life span of about 3 to 15 years. This species displays a few very unusual parenting habits- it carries its eggs and tadpoles on its back. The golden poison dart frog is one of the most toxic animals on earth and has the venom to kill 10 grown men. Indigenous Emberá people of Colombia have used its powerful venom for centuries to tip their blowgun darts when hunting, hence the genus' common name.
